This website, www.bernstherapy.com, is operated by Berns Therapy Solutions, LLC, a pediatric speech-language therapy practice at 4205 Hillsboro Pike, Suite 304, Nashville, TN 37215.

This is a website privacy policy. It describes what happens to information you share through this site. It is not the HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices; patients receive that notice directly from the practice.

When you send a message through our contact form, we collect the information you enter:

• your name
• your email address
• your phone number
• the topic you select (for example, a complimentary screening or a general question)
• your message

Your message is emailed to the practice so that we can respond to you. To limit spam, the server also keeps a short-lived, in-memory count of submissions per network address; this count is not written to a database and is discarded automatically.

Please do not send medical details, diagnoses, or other health information through the contact form. We will collect that information securely once we connect.

This website does not set advertising cookies, and it does not run analytics or tracking scripts.

Some pages include content from other companies. Those services have their own privacy policies, and when you interact with them they may set cookies or collect information under their policies rather than ours.

• YouTube. Our Screenings page includes a video hosted on YouTube. It is embedded in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and nothing from YouTube loads until you press play.
• Google Forms. Our Summer Session page embeds a Google Form. Other pages link to Google Forms that open in a new tab, such as school screening permission forms and our job application. Information you enter into a Google Form is handled by Google Forms.
• Google Maps. Our Contact and Locations pages embed a Google Map of our office.

Links labeled “Patient Portal” take you to bernstherapy.clientsecure.me (opens in a new tab), a client portal operated by SimplePractice. The portal is governed by SimplePractice's own terms and privacy policy, which are separate from this website policy.

This website is for general information and initial contact. Please do not send medical details through the contact form.

This page is not the HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. Patients receive the Notice of Privacy Practices directly from the practice.

Some pages, including our Resources page, link to websites we do not operate. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was most recently revised.
